PLA Funded CompTIA Project+

The PLA CompTIA Project+ course is fully funded for those eligible for PLA funding.

As a CompTIA Project+ certified professional, you’ll be able to manage small to medium-sized projects in the IT industry.

The programme requires attendance at tutor led sessions delivered via Microsoft Teams and commitment to follow the online e-learning programme. A further tutor led exam preparation and revision prior to taking the online examination is included.

This certification is designed for IT professionals looking to develop their project management skills. .

CompTIA Project+ (Including Exam)

Delivery Method: Blended learning with E-learning and online tutor led workshops.

Examination: Tutor led exam revision and preparation followed by online exam through Pearson Vue.

Prerequisites: CompTIA recommends the equivalent to at least 6-12 months of hands-on experience managing projects in and IT environment.

Course content summary

Project Basics: The properties of project, phases, schedules, roles and responsibilities including basic aspects of Agile methodology.

Project Constraints: Impact of constraint variables on projects and the importance of risk strategies.

Communication and Change Management: Communication methods of influence and change control processes within the context of a project.

Project Tools and Documentation: Project Management tools and project documentation.

Exam details

Multiple choice and performance-based exam.

A maximum of 90 questions.

Exam description: CompTIA Project+ is ideal for IT professionals who need to manage smaller, less-complex projects as part of their other job duties but still have foundational project management skills. Project+ is versatile because it covers essential project management concepts beyond the scope of just one methodology or framework.
