The Canine First Aid training teaches the understanding of the importance of first aid for dogs. Recognising common emergency situations, learning how to prepare a canine first aid kit, assessing a dog’s health, CPR and rescue breathing for dogs. Participants will also learn how to assist during a choking incident, wound management, handling fractures & sprains and keeping yourself safe.

Delivery Method: Face-to-face session

Learning Hours: 1 day (7 hours of learning)

Key Duties:

  • Assess dogs’ health 
  • CPR & rescue breaths 
  • Assist when choking  

There is no formal assessment component for this training.
