Successful completion of the Emergency Paediatric First Aid course gives participants basic skills to manage life-threatening emergencies and injuries. You may already be in post, but do not need to be in employment, to achieve the mandatory unit required to gain this qualification. This course will cover CPR, managing an unconscious casualty, assisting a casualty who is choking and wound management.

Delivery Method: Face-to-face session

Learning Hours: 1 day (7 hours of learning)

Prerequisites: Learners must be able to kneel on the floor and complete several cycles of CPR using a manakin 

The assessment for this qualification includes a 15 question multiple choice assessment to be completed at the end of the training in addition to practical demonstration assessments throughout each day.
