PLA CompTIA CySA+ - ALS Training

The PLA CompTIA CySA+ course is fully funded for those eligible for PLA funding.

As a CompTIA CySA+ certified professional, you’ll be able to develop the skills to be a valuable team member working effectively detect and analyse malicious activity and cybersecurity monitoring. The CompTIA CySA+ is a comprehensive programme including lessons and practical activities which you can revisit as often as required.

The programme requires attendance at 2 half day tutor led sessions delivered via Microsoft Teams and commitment to follow the online e-learning programme. A further day tutor led exam preparation and revision prior to taking the online examination is included.

This certification provides job-ready skills that employers are looking for, helping you to fast-track your career in IT.

CompTIA CySA+ (Including Exam)

Delivery Method: Blended learning with E-learning and online tutor led workshops

Examination: Half day exam revision and preparation followed by online exam via Pearson Vue.

Prerequisites: CompTIA recommends the equivalent to 4 years of experience working as an incident response analyst, security operation centre (SOC) analyst or equivalent experience.

Course content summary

Security Operations: Identifying and analysing malicious activity using appropriate security techniques.

Incident Response and Management: Understanding attack methodology frameworks, incident management lifestyle and perform incident response activities.

Vulnerability Management: Carrying out vulnerability assessments and make recommendations based on your findings.

Reporting and Communication: Understanding best practice when communicating incidents and vulnerabilities, as it relates to stakeholders.

Exam details

Multiple Choice, performance-based examination.

A maximum of 85 questions.

Exam Description: The CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification verifies that successful candidates have the knowledge and skills required to detect and analyse indicators of malicious activity, understand threat intelligence and threat management, respond to attacks and vulnerabilities, perform incident response, and report and communicate related activity.
